- In the UAE, there is no tax (no corporate tax, no income tax, VAT at 5% applies in the UAE; however, certain free zone transactions may be exempt depending on the type of goods or services.)

- There is no need for a local sponsor.
- The UAE complies with international transparency and information exchange standards, ensuring legitimate confidentiality for investors
- A minimum capital is not required for the formation of an offshore company, and the paid-up capital is not required to be disclosed to the authorities.
- A RAK Offshore Company can be established by a single person as the company's sole shareholder, director, and secretary.
Remote registration is possible - While RAKEZ Offshore companies do not require physical presence, RAKEZ Free Zone entities require at least a Flexi-Desk or physical office space.
- Once all documents are provided, the company can be registered in two working days.
- In the UAE, you can open a corporate bank account in a variety of major foreign currencies. Please keep in mind that the Central Bank
- Regulation on Corporate Account Procedures requires you to visit the UAE in order to open a bank account.
- Annual audits are mandatory for all RAKEZ Free Zone entities and must be submitted within 6 months of the financial year-end.
- The UAE is fully compliant with FATF standards and was successfully removed from the FATF Grey List in 2024.
The following licenses are available in the RAK Free Trade Zone:
- Industrial License: Importing raw materials, manufacturing, processing, assembling, packaging, and exporting finished products are all permitted activities under an industrial license. Feasibility and environmental impact studies, as well as RAKFTZ approval, are required. This type of license typically takes 2 to 3 weeks to process.
- Commercial License: I mport, export, distribution, consolidation, storage, or warehousing of items specified on the License are all permitted activities. The maximum number of similar product lines is seven. It is usually issued within 2 to 3 working days.
- Consulting & Service License Activities allowed: Service & Consulting Offering consulting services in management, finance, investment, legal issues, labor relations, economics (including feasibility studies), industrial development, marketing, and related subjects is permitted under the license. Restaurants or food outlets, catering services, travel agencies, leisure and social activities, insurance, cargo & freight forwarding, accounting, and auditing services are examples of other services. It is usually issued within 2 to 3 working days.
Commercial - General Trading License: A Commercial License, which allows for more than seven product lines, can be used to obtain a General Trading License. It is usually issued within 2 to 3 working days.
