How to Form a Company in the Dubai Outsource Free Zone?
The following documents must be submitted to the free zone's authority in order to open a company in Dubai Outsource Zone:
- Form of application
- A business strategy
- A request for a business license
- Copies of the shareholders' and managers' passports
- After the ID of the local representative, if any, make a copy
Corporate Taxation of Companies in Dubai Outsource City Free Zone
The Corporate Tax Law will apply to all companies registered in the UAE, including free zones. The implementation of UAE Corporate Tax for businesses in the UAE for the fiscal year beginning on or after 1 June 2023.
Corporate Tax will be levied at a 0% rate on the Qualifying Income of Free Zone entities, provided they maintain adequate substance and comply with all Free Zone regulations and the UAE Corporate Tax Law.
Income derived from non-qualifying activities (which includes revenue from specific non-exempt transactions with mainland UAE customers) will be subject to the standard 9% Corporate Tax rate on taxable income exceeding AED 375,000.
To enjoy the benefit of the 0% UAE Corporate Tax rate, Free Zone companies must ensure they are classified as a Qualifying Free Zone Person (QFZP), maintain adequate substance (Economic Substance Regulations - ESR), and ensure the income is primarily derived from Qualifying Activities (e.g., transactions with other Free Zone entities or foreign jurisdictions).
